Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using USourceControl ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. Description of service

USourceControl provides a cloud-based source control platform for game development projects, including a web dashboard for project management, a desktop application for file versioning and collaboration, and a REST API for custom integrations.

3. Accounts and organizations

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and project keys. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access. Organization owners are responsible for managing member access and ensuring compliance with these terms across their organization.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to the files, assets, and data you upload to the Service ("Your Content"). We do not claim ownership of Your Content. You grant us a limited license to store, transmit, and cache Your Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload and store all content in your projects.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for illegal purposes
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity of the Service
• Upload malicious software or content
• Resell or redistribute the Service without authorization
• Use the Service to store content unrelated to software or game development projects

6. Billing and subscriptions

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually per user seat. Subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.

If you exceed your plan's storage or bandwidth limits, we will notify you and may restrict new uploads until you upgrade or reduce usage. We will never delete or restrict access to files you've already uploaded.

7. Service availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime. We are not liable for any downtime, data loss, or service interruptions. Enterprise plans may include a separate SLA with specific uptime guarantees.

8. Termination

You may cancel your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, we will provide a 30-day window to export your data before permanent deletion.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, USourceControl shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
