Common questions

What counts as a user?

A user is anyone with access to at least one project in your organization. You only pay for active members. No wasted seats.

How do storage and bandwidth work?

Storage is a flat, organization-wide amount shared across all your projects. Bandwidth is pooled across your whole organization too: each seat adds to a shared monthly pool, so a light user's unused bandwidth covers a heavier user. You can monitor both from the web dashboard.

What happens if I exceed my included storage or bandwidth?

Nothing breaks. We never lock you out of your own work. Usage beyond your plan's included storage or bandwidth is simply billed at your plan's per-GB overage rate on your next invoice.

Can I switch plans at any time?

Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades apply at the end of your current billing cycle so you keep access to everything until then.

How does annual billing work?

How does this compare to Perforce or Git?

Perforce requires dedicated servers, per-seat licenses, and ongoing administration. Git wasn't designed for large binary assets. USourceControl is a cloud source control service built for game projects. We run the infrastructure, so there's nothing for you to set up or maintain.

Is the full desktop app included on every plan?

Yes, including the Solo plan. Every plan gets the full desktop app experience on Windows, with no feature gating. The desktop app source code and the macOS and Linux builds are available to Enterprise customers.

Is my project safe in the cloud?

Every file is integrity-verified on upload and download. All transfers are encrypted in transit, and only authorized team members can access your files. Enterprise customers get the desktop app source code so you can audit exactly how your data is handled.
